'Dolpo' consist an amazing landscape of nature's color and textures. The sculpted gorges of sheer sided rock faces and translucent turquoise cascades, steep hillsides of fragrant pine and leafless birch rising to autumnal shrubs and alpine grasses crowned by soaring mountains, diverse culture and people, roaring the wild animals in barren landscape all on this Himalayan scale.

The revered gompas and caves with meditated by incarnate lamas, wandering shepherds homely tents, yak caravans driven by Himalayan cowboys, the beautiful stone, mud and wooden fenced hamlets, long mani walls and Buddhist monuments (Chhortens and Kanis), and greetings 'Namaste' by innocent children and people makes a memorable jouney throughout the trip. Our innovative trek 'The Lower Dolpo Tschaller's Taril' is an exhilarating treks in Dolpo Nepal. This route combines an appreciative, adventurous journey off the beaten path where we follow the footstep of Dolpo explore and geographical mysteries of the area and immerse ourselves in adventure delve of Dolpo.

Why 'The Lower Dolpo and Tschaller's Taril'? The name itself tells us that, to exploring an area that is not Upper Dolpo with its expensive permit but it is an exploration throughout the Lower Dolpo trek routes beyond the the classic route 'Lower Dolpo Circuit trek'. It is an area where few trekkers have trekked and none have explored comprehensively. Second, why this trek? We are locally based trekking agency and simply we love to explore new routes in Dolpo.

The Schaller Trail- Biologist George Schaller and Peter Matheissen of "The Snow Leopard" book fame trekked out of the region in search for wildlife. And for a few days we follow their footprints.

'The Lower Dolpo and Tschaller's Taril' begins with a spectacular flight along the Himalayan range to Juphal then trek through Dangibara village, passing through the Kalagauda and Dhupichuar 'Arm check post' and surprisingly rustic headquarters of Dunai. For the next few days, we follow the Thuli Bheri and Tarap Khola to the villages of Dho-Tarap along the rough and deep gorge that will become a road in a few years. Then we venture off the beaten trail for our exhilarating exploration 'The Schaller's trail' crossing the Khyungla Pass to the north of Phoksundo Lake and to Rigmo village. Next to th Phoksundo Lake and Rigmo village, we detour to take the traditional winter herding and salt route over the Kagmara La to Kaigaon and then back to Juphal for our flight out.

In conclusion, 'The Lower Dolpo and Tschaller's Taril' trek is a unique, fabulous Dolpo region trekking journey with 'Himalayan Companion'(a local Dolpo Trekking Agency) .
