Overview

Mane Rimdu Festival trek is a great opportunity to witness Mane Rimdu festival in the high Himalaya, especially in Khumbu region. Mane Rimdu is the great festival that is celebrated in communal monasteries such as; Tengboche monastery, Thame monastery and Chiwong Monasteries of Solukhumbu. Normally, Mane Rimdu festival celebrate on October to November full moon day. It is Buddhist sacred ceremony in monastic environment, which is consists of nineteen days event with empowerment, meditation and dance. The public celebration lasting for three days before concludes ceremony.

Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), transfer to Hotel.

Day 2:Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m) 25 to 30 minutes, trek to Phakding (2,640m) 3 to 4 hours

Day 3:Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,430m) 5 to 6 hours

Day 4:Explore Day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization visit Khumjung Village (3,790m) 2-3 hours

Day 5:Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3,867m) 5-6 hours

Day 6:First day at Mani Rimdu festival at Tengboche Monastery

Day 7:Second day at the festival observation.

Day 8:Third day at the festival. Witness the Jinsak - Closing Ceremony

Day 9:Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3,430m) 4-5 hours

Day 10:Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m) 6-7 hours

Day 11:Fly back to Kathmandu 25-30 Minutes

Day 12:Your own destination.
